There will be a General Meeting of PICS held at 21 Portland Place, London W1B 1PY on 8 March 2016 at 15.00 to address a resolution to approve the incorporation process as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. This is a very important step for PICS, please take some time to read the linked documents below and act accordingly.
PICS Council are delighted to present the 5th edition of the PICS Standards. Over the years, PICS Standards have become synonymous with the pursuit of excellence within our intensive care and this updated version continues this tradition.
I would like to thank Kevin Morris, Past President of PICS and his steering committee for producing these standards.
The standards have been given a slightly different format. The new format makes it easier to self-assess your services against the standards. They have also included the recent publications “Facing the Future” and “Time to Move On” to update staffing and level 1 and 2 critical care issues.
We hope that you will find the new standards format useful
