Transport Guidelines

National guidance on time critical transfer for neurosurgical patients are published by the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (AAGBI).

National Retrieval Passport

PICS Acute Transport Group have agreed a multi-professional training competency document that can be transferred with an individual between services.

Incident Report Form

The ‘Intercollegiate Committee for Standards for Children and Young People in Emergency Care Settings’ guideline discusses transfer of patients on page 18.
‘Nursing on the move – specialist nursing for patients requiring repatraition and retrieval’ is an important Royal College of Nursing document.
‘The acutely or critically sick or injured child in the district general hospital – a team response’ otherwise known as ‘the Tanner report’ is a sentinal document from 2006.
